HOW TO MAKE BENGALI FISH CURRY?
Ingredients:
- Fish – 100g
- Kashmiri chili powder – ¼ tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Salt – 1/8 tsp
- Mustard oil – 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves – a few spring
- Chili powder – 1/8 tsp
- Garam masala – ½ tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1/8 tsp
- Onion – 100g chopped finely
- Cinnamon – 1 tsp
- Clove – 1
- Cardamom – 1
- Garlic – 1 clove
- Tomato – 5g
- Curd – 1 Tbsp
- Water – ¼ Cup
- Coriander leaves – a few spring
Method:
- Roast and grind clove, cinnamon and cardamom into fine powder.
- Boil , peel and chop the tomato.
- Clean, wash and cut the fish into 3 pieces.
- Smear with turmeric, chili powder and salt. Shallow fry it lightly in mustard oil and remove.
- Clean and grind the coriander leaves, chili powder, garam masala, mustard seeds and garlic to paste. Mix the paste with all the powdered condiments together.
- In the heated oil, fry the onion.
- Add the grounded masala paste and chopped tomatoes and cook till done. (the raw smell/taste should not be there).
- Crush the tomatoes and add the well beaten curd and simmer for 5 min,
- Add the fried fish and water and simmer for another 5 min till done.
Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves. And Enjoy!😊
