HOW TO MAKE MASALA DOSA?

INGREDIENTS:

  • Dosa Batter 
  • Potato – 1 medium
  • Oil – 1 tsp
  • Mustard seed – ½ tsp
  • Bengal gram – ½ tsp
  • Urad dal – ½  tsp
  • Onion chopped – ½ small onion
  • Ginger – 1 cm
  • Green chili – 1
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Salt – ½ tsp

METHOD:

  1. Boil the potato, peel and mash it.
  2. Chop the onion and green chili finely.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, sputter mustard speeds, add both the dals.
  4. SautΓ© the onion, chopped ginger, green chili and curry leaves with turmeric and salt for a min or two.
  5. Add the mashed potato to it and mix well.
  6. Grease the tawa, pour a ladle of batter and spread the batter uniformly in clockwise direction on the tawa till thin.
  7. Apply butter/oil on the sides.
  8. Once the top side is cooked add 2 tbsp of the masala prepared and spread it thoroughly.
  9. When the edges of the dosa leaves the tawa and the dosa turn light brown, fold it half and remove from the tawa.

 Serve them happy!πŸ˜€
