HOW TO MAKE RAWA IDLI?

INGREDIENTS:

  • Rawa/Semolina – 2 cups
  • Urad Dal – 1 cup
  • Fenugreek Seeds – 1 tsp
  • Salt – as per taste

METHOD:

  1. Roast and cool Rawa until it begins to change the color.
  2. Soak dal and fenugreek together for 5 hours.
  3. Add water used to soak dal and fenugreek in intervals and grind them nicely until light and frothy.
  4. Add the rawa and salt and mix it well for 2-3 min continuously.
  5. Leave overnight.
  6. Your batter is ready now.
  7. Mix well before use. Grease the idly mould.
  8. Meanwhile boil water to steam them.
  9. Pour the batter to it and steam for 20 min in low flame
