HOW TO VERMICELLI KHEER?
INGREDIENTS:
- Roasted Vermicelli – ½ cup
- Jaggery syrup – 1 cup (as per your taste)
- Ghee
- Cashews – 5-6 no
- Raisins – 5-6 no
- Coconut Milk – ½
- Cardamom – 1 tsp crushed
METHOD:
- Grate and grind the coconut and extract 1st coconut milk and keep it aside. Grind again and extract 2nd coconut milk – 1 cup
- Bring 1 cups of water to boil.
- Add vermicelli and cook it.
- Approximately after 2 min strain and add the 2nd extract of coconut milk to it. Lower the flame
- Keep stirring.
- Add the jaggery syrup and mix it well. Let it boil . Adjust as per your consistency need.
- Now add the 1st extract of coconut milk and cardamom and stir continuously in low flame.
- When the payasam is thick enough off the flame.
- Heat ghee in a pan and fry the cashew and raisins.
- Add them to the payasam and enjoy!
