TOMATO CHUTNEY

HOW TO MAKE TOMATO CHUTNEY?
INGREDIENTS:
- Tomatoes - 3
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Chili powder - 1 tsp.
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Ginger - 1 cm
- Curry leaves - a spring.
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp.
- Onion - 1/2 a onion.
- Urad dal - 1/4 tsp.
- Dry red chilli - 2 no
- Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
METHODS:
- Heat half the oil in a pan and saute garlic, ginger and onion till cooked.
- Add the powdered spices except for asafoetida and roast them for a minute.
- Add the tomatoes and cook them till mushy.
- let it cool .
- Grind it into a paste.
- Heat the oil in a pan, sputter mustard seeds, urad dal, dry chili and curry leaves.
- Garnish it over the chutney and add asafoetida on the floating oil and cover it.
- After 2 min mix well and serve.
