HAKKA NOODLES

HOW TO MAKE HAKKA NOODLES?

INGREDIENTS:

  • Noodles – 1 pack,1 bar
  • Oil – as mentioned in the recipe
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Spring onion – 3 tbsp chopped
  • Carrot – ½ a carrot
  • Capsicum – ¼ th of a capsicum
  • Cabbage – shredded
  • Soya sauce   - 1 tbsp
  • Pepper – ¼ tsp
  • Salt – as per your taste.
  • Chili sauce – 1 tbsp – as per your taste. Or Sweet and hot sauce – 2 Tbsp
  • Vinegar – 1 tsp

METHOD:

  1. Boil 3 cups of water in a pan with 1 tsp of oil.
  2. Once boiled, add the noodles and let it cook(70% ) not over cook.
  3. Now strain the water and give it a cold water rinse and keep it aside.
  4. Shred the cabbage and slice carrot and capsicum long and thin each of size 2cm.
  5. Heat 2 Tbsp of oil in a pan. Add the spring onion, garlic and saute for 20 sec.
  6. Now add the vegetables and saute with enough salt and pepper for a minute.
  7. Now add the sauces and give it a nice mix and saute for another minute or until almost cooked but not fully.
  8. Now add the boiled noodles and vinegar and give it a nice mix for about 30-40sec.
  9. Add the remaining spring onion and toss it very 10 sec for a minute and off the flame.
