MOONG DAL VADA

HOW TO MAKE MOONG DAL VADA?

INGREDIENTS:

  • Green gram with skin – 225g
  • Ginger – ½ cm
  • Green chili – 1
  • Coriander Powder – ½ tsp
  • Cumin – a pinch
  • Grated coconut – 30g
  • Slat – as per your taste.
  • Gram flour – 30g
  • Pepper powder – ¼ tsp
  • Oil – enough to fry

METHOD:

  1. Clean and wash the green gram under running water.
  2. Soak it for 12 hr.
  3. Remove the husk as much as possible.
  4. Grind coarsely with enough water into a thick paste.
  5.  Add the coriander powder, green chili, pepper powder, coconut, ginger, cumin and enough salt. Mix well.
  6. Add the gram flour to the mixture.
  7. Shape it to a flat or oval shape and fry then in oi on medium oil till crisp and done.

Serve with chutney and enjoy the vada!
