  • Onion – 3 no
  • Turmeric - ¼ tsp.
  • Chili powder – ½ tsp
  • Kashmiri Chili powder – 1 tsp.
  • Salt - required
  • Besan/Gram Flour – 3 Tbsp

  • Oil – enough to deep fry

METHOD:

  1. Chop onion nice long and fine.
  2. To a bowl add the long and nicely sliced onions to it add required salt for onions, turmeric and both chili powders. Mix everything together for 2 min.
  3. Cover and keep it aside for 20 min.
  4. After the rest, add both the flour and enough salt for them and mix them well with 2 tbsp of water.
The flour should just coat the onions, it shouldn’t dominate the onion.
  1. Heat oil in a pan. Now take just a little of them (preferably small shapes ) and drop it to the oil.
  2. In medium flame let it cook and strain oil once done.

Once pakodas are done, you can also fry some green chili and curry leaves in the same oil and garnish over them.
