TIL RICE

HOW TO TIL RICE?

INGREDIENTS:

  • Rice – 500g
  • Til/Gingelly seeds – 115g
  • Red chilies – 5g
  • Split black gram – 15g
  • Asafetida – a pinch
  • Fat – 115g
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Cashew nuts – 8 no
  • Lime – ½
  • Salt – as per your taste.

METHOD:

  1. Wash and boil rice till 90% done.
  2. Rinse with cold water and keep it aside.
  3. Heat fat and fry cashewnuts to golden brown and remove .
  4. Fry curry leaves. Remove.
  5. Also fry seeds, red chilies, asafetida, black gram.
  6. Remove and grind to powder.
  7. Mix all the powdered masala, fried cashews, salt, lime juice and curry leaves with rice.

Serve Hot
