YELLOW RICE

The simplest rice recipe.

HOW TO YELLOW RICE?

INGREDIENTS:

  • Rice – 500g
  • Fat - 50g
  • Onion – 115g
  • Turmeric – a pinch
  • Cloves – 2g
  • Cinnamon – 2g
  • Bay leaf – 1
  • Cardamom – 2g
  • Salt – as per your taste
  • Water 1 L
  • Coriander leaves – a spring

METHOD:

  1. Wash and soak rice for 20 min.
  2. Slice onion.
  3. Heat fat and fry the onion till golden brown. Remove.
  4. In the same oil fry the spices, add rice and fry for a 2 min.
  5. Add turmeric and water and enough salt.
  6. Cover cook the rice till done.

Serve hot with fried onion and coriander leaves.
