HOW TO MAKE BESAN KI BURFI?

INGREDIENTS:

  • Besan - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 100 ml
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Nuts of your choice - 1 Tbsp chopped.

METHODS:

  1.  Heat a pan and melt the ghee.
  2. Meanwhile melt sugar with equal portion of water and cardamom powder till turn sticky and yet loose.
  3. Once ghee is melted lower the flame and add the besan.
  4. Mix thoroughly and continuously until it turns golden colour.
  5. Continue to mix until the besan mixture separates from the pan and further the mixture will start to release the ghee from it.
  6. Now add the loose sugar syrup and mix well for 2 min.
  7. Get a tray to set the burfi. and place a butter paper or grease the tray with butter or ghee.
  8. Pour the hot mixture to the pan and level it with a tap on the either sides of the tray.
  9. Garnish with chopped nuts.
  10. After hour an hour when it almost set with a knife partition equally into square shape or desired shape.
  11. Let it further rest for an  another half an hour.
