PAZHAM PORI
Kerala Special simple snack made with Nenthra pazham or Ethakka pazham.

HOW TO MAKE KERALA PAZHAM PORI?
INGREDIENTS:
- Nenthra Pazham/Ripe Plantain - 2
- Sugar - 2 Tbsp
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Rice flour - 2 Tbsp
- Turmeric - a pinch
- Refined Flour/ Maida - 3/4 cup
- Baking soda - a pinch (optional)
- Oil - enough to deep fry
METHOD:
- Peel the ripe banana.
- Cut the banana into two halves from center. Slice them lengthwise into equal 3 or 2 halves.
- To a bowl mix both the flours , soda, sugar , salt and turmeric.
- Slowly add water and mix it well to dissolve the sugar to a thick consistency enough to dip and coat the banana.
- Rest it for 10 min. if baking soda is added if not rest it for minimum 20-30 min.
- Heat enough oil to deep fry. Once hot, lower the flame to medium flame.
- After the rest, mix the batter well before we make it.
- Dip and coat the banana with prepared batter and fry them in the hot oil until golden brown and puffed.
Serve Hot with Tea.
